OpenBikeSensor Converted OpenStreetMap Data

These files were converted from OpenStreetMap raw data extracts as provided by the Geofabrik.de Download Server using the transform_osm.py script for consumption with the OpenBikeSensor Portal Software.

This is NOT an export of OpenBikeSensor generated data. Instead, this data is used for running OpenBikeSensor software to match raw sensor data to real-world street infrastructure as mapped in the OpenStreetMap. If you're not a maintainer of an OpenBikeSensor portal or writing or improving OpenBikeSensor software, this data is probably not of any interest to you.

License

All OpenStreetMap derived data on in this repository is licensed under the Open Database License 1.0. You may use the data for any purpose, but you have to acknowledge OpenStreetMap as the data source.

Usage

The import procedure is described in the source code repository of the Portal software in docs/osm-import.md. Please follow these instructions to use the imported data.

To download many files at once, you can use this snippet and adjust the grep pattern to your needs:

Updates

Updates are done irregularily and mostly on-demand at the moment, as they require a bit of computation time, memory and upload bandwidth. If you would like more up-to-date data, either convert the files yourself, or contact me (opatut) via private message in the OpenBikeSensor Forums or via Matrix.

If a region of interest to you is not included in the list below, you can of course request its inclusion via the same channels. Alternatively, create a pull request with the desired changes to the repository of scripts that I use to generate this content.

Index

A machine readable index is available at index.txt. Naming of the files follows the Geofabrik structure. If you need shapefiles for the covered areas or other meta information, have a look there.

Each file is marked with the date of its most recent build from openstreetmap data and will contain the openstreetmap changes of about two days earlier.

If you wan to run your own tileserver (no need though), you can find our mbtiles file (also derived from OpenStreetMap, see copyright notice above) here
Warning: it's more than 15 gigabytes for the european countries we're currently serving as basemap.
